Sweet hardware. I love that gun. I see you have the full capacity mags too. Are mags that hold more then 10 still banned? or did that ban end? I have all extended capacity from when I was a cop years ago...they were standard issue.

I have to admit I do love the Syncronis Ion Plasma Rifle, but the Stainless pulse blaster with dual quark generators is pretty cool too. Not many ranges around to shoot these babies though...Need an indoor range with plasma field generators and sub nuclear magnetic resonating backdrops.

Well that's just silly. It depends why you have it. if you run around thinking you are a tough guy carrying a gun thinking people will be afraid of you...then yes. Buy most people who own them are not in that category.
Guns are a cool toy that we all loved to play with as kids. And aside from the heavy metal frame and cool feel of the slide action etc. You get to go to the range (or outdoors) and blow shit up...Whats better than that?
I suppose motorcycles, hot rod cars, m-80's and such things are for pussies too? C'mon , be realistic and get off the soap box.

I dig that one. I have 2 sub-compact XD-9s, but I really do like the full size guns too.
I'm sorry, but this is a stupid thread. Let's start one called "How many weapons have killed young children in accidents?" or How about "How many people in the US die each year of gun shot wounds"? just don't get it!
Nothing personal guys, there's 3 cops in my immediate family and they don't even bring their gun home out of safety...I just don't get the point of having them unless you're a cop or an avid hunter.

Take no offense to this...buy you can do some simple math and find out that those incidences account for less than 1% of gun owners or less. More kids get hurt choking on small toys when you match apples to apples.
BTW...I am a retired NYPD, and now part time reserve Cop.
I hope this was a way of not following the group, because if it's really what you think...you have been duped by the lobbyist. It's a sham. Go after tyco. Quickly look both ways and sneak out of the herd before you lose your soul.

It's REALLY how I feel Ray, maybe it's because I live in Canada and am used to different laws. I'm not dupped, I'm very well informed, just solid on my beliefs. I stop trying to "save" the world a long time ago. I respect your choices, I simply don't agree or understand them.

Wow - 3 cops, that don't have guns at their homes. Thats some amazing form of bravery there, i could only imagine how many people want to bring harm to them, and no way to protect themselves or their families when they are looking down the barrel of a loaded gun (from a bad guy, seeking revenge), and wake up to a home invasion.
I hunt, I go to the shooting range - and as long as cops have guns (gotta a few in my family as well) ... I'll keep a gun to.

Canada must have some weird laws. I doubt there is a cop in the US that does not bring a gun home. Every department I am aware of requires they do.
Could be she doesn't know.
True. Most (not all) carry 24X7 as well. In the NYPD you do not have to...but you cannot carry your badge unless you do (only your ID card). They won't tell you that. But that's the rules. In fact when i worked in Brooklyn North it was so bad, that we would drive home with our gun loaded in our lap. At least until we got out of NYC.
I remember going to a club once and there was a spackle bucket behind the bouncer full of guns that he was holding for cops as they came to the door. Meanwhile it's against rules to carry your gun in an establishment that serves alcohol & every cop would say "I dont carry it, I don't need it" but clearly they did.
I figure, why not? in the off chance that something happens and I cannot back out, why not have the extra protection, can't hurt.
