They are actually really useful. From this thread alone I have been able to pinpoint the weak spots in my program and work on them.

I had my doubts about BF from the beginning but the risk was worth the money and all my second thoughts have been well hammered out and honestly I think that he should expand his turnkey service a little bit and shrink wrap it a bit more.

It is very helpful for people who are still on their first couple trips around the block in this specific industry.

Anyone who's bootstrapped a program knows what the frustration of trying to get things going and basically spending all your time copying and pasting support tickets between mojohost, TMM and CCBill as they all point the finger at one another as to why joins and rebills are not displaying properly etc.

Somebody willing to get everything together is definitely needed and would be appreciated by someone for example like me, who specializes in recruiting and motivating a sales force and doesn't want to spend all his time helping supposed professionals communicate with one another.

See thats where Im a little different. I dont mind him doing his business. I never mentioned his on goings. I see your point as where is it my place. But as a community its everyone's place really to keep people in line. Hes not the first Ive mentioned that to. He is however the only one that has come back with lies and insults. If he actually kept it on track with logic I would have had no issue at all. But no I get all this "Im better than You" bullshit every time.

Multiple times we have talked behind GFY and had nice words. Even arguing words. There was a time he almost seemed decent. I remember a night i was drinking and I hit him up just to talk and thinking back now... i told him things about my business ... nothing I havent here already. I've never met BF. Spoke to him once or twice on ICQ, explored some business ideas with him that didn't fit where I was at then. He was helpful and nice enough, even understanding and kind (gasp!) to someone just starting out. Beyond that, no direct business. But this doesn't mean that will remain the case. I'm a businessman; if I see someone offering me savings, and after exploring the details I like the deal, then I go for it. If unsatisfied, I do not renew/go further, but look for other solutions.

I've used designers and programmers here on GFY, actually hired them and paid them actual m-o-n-e-y. Some (most) were stellar, a couple were not wonderful. So I used the people I had good experiences with again and did not use the two that I was not satisfied with. But did I come on here and fucking BASH? No, I did not.

I prefer to look forward, to spend my energies on the future and how sweet it's going to be for me, my family and friends, and everyone I do business with, instead of bitching and clogging myself down in my own anger and self-loathing. But then again, one needs this type of personality, to some extent, to 'make it' on their own, against increasingly difficult ne impossible odds.

So as for BF: enough people I trust and have actually worked with and know personally vouch for the guy. Enough for me. Whether he has something I can use to improve my business and bottom line is really just between me and him, as it should be.
