It's a fact, just like when the weekend slows down. People are out doing stuff in the summer, like trying to get laid instead of watching people get laid.

It used to be a problem but now it's not really. Back a few years ago none of the college kids that had high speed access to porn at school had more than dial up at home. It made summer numbers shrink a good 15%. Now, broadband penetration is widespread at home so those kids get to continue spanking like they did at school. The drop may be around 5% now.

traffic usually drops off about 5-10% starting some time in may, at least that's what i seem to always see. Sales don't really drop off.

It probably was big back in the days. But internet is in every home now and the habbits have changed.

Fact, because people will spend more time outdoors doing things in good weather. But I suspect the "slowdown" isn't all that dramatic... just a little less on average than during other seaons.

Generally You can rule out Memorial Day to Labor Day - go on vacation or something - it's been quiet then since 1996 - always is...

Always been a slow down for us - we have growth every month and then level off for June-August and pick back up start Sept.

Kids home from school/college means Dad can't get on the machine and students don't have as much privacy.
Vacation time.
People spend more time outdoors instead of stuck indoors.
Girls are wearing summer dresses so more eye candy for free.

No big deal - keep the site quality up, keep the marketing machine working and it will pick back up at the end of summer.
