I grew out of it. It's very cliche to me now, and overly dramatic. Plus most of it isn't even animated very well. Shame to think that Akira in 88 still has better animation than 90% of current anime titles nearly 20 years later.
Go watch the HK hit "Infernal Affairs" DJ, you'll love it. It's an example of what anime should have evolved into, but unfortunately didn't...
I read somewhere brad pitt owns the rights to that movie, he wanted to remake it with him and tom cruise in the main roles
Correct, the casting has changed though. Leonardo DiCaprio will play one lead male role, Matt Damon plays the other. Jack Nicholson is playing the role of the mob boss, and it's all being directed by Martin Scorsese.
The title has changed too, Scorsese is calling it "The Departed".
Some other solid players in it too, Alec Baldwin, Martin Sheen, etc. One of 2006's big releases for sure.
got thru Evangelion in 2 days.
didn't like it. too much mind fucking and very little action.
The first few episodes of EVA were good.. then it just got boring, and became a complete mind fuck. Full Metal Panic is a pretty decent anime out there.. 2 series, they've got their 3rd out at the moment, not as funny but it has a high production value :D
