Just spitballing here, but isn?t this an extra dollop of irony? Mr. Richter wants to protect his son from lunatics. What happens? The lunatics use that as ?evidence? that Palin had an affair with Richter and descend on him to get the dirt...that was never there.

The John Edwards affair was an actually news story that took a year in the making with investigators and journalist working the leads.

This was just as i said, Conspiracy theorists, nutcase bloggers and the hard-leftist grasping for straws.

If you read Mr. Richter's filed motion to seal the records is pretty clear. Now that they are out in the open there is no sign of any affair. I went to http://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov where i have an account and downloaded all 221 pages and its all courts briefs, divorce papers and settlement arrangements for the divorce.

Sorry to disapoint but Sarah Palin's name dosent appear on any document of the case.

I could still wonder if it is not something glaring like actually having her name printed in it, or something that requires more digging and will lead elsewhere to more information such as an account or strange gift for instance.

Considering how the accusation against her was an affair and with her name not on any of the 221 pages where else would it go? But i grasp what your saying and i thought of the same thing when i was scrolling down the pdf file.
