    help - router disconnects !!!!!!!!

wtf is this, it started about 3-4 days ago, I get disconnected 2-3 times a day

It's a Billion 5102 ADSL router, downloaded new firmware, checked for spyware on my PC, running a virus check ATM, it is not heating up though, any ideas???

Or should I just go and get a new one tomorrow? I think this one is about year and a half old, Google didn't help me much either.

did you install the firmware via a exe. file or by accessing the router itself?

it wasn't an exe, I did it trough the router, it was 'res' file or something of the sort, got it from the official site too (billion.com)

I acn only call my ISPs support but they're not the ones that sold me the router, the guys that I got it from only open tomorrow, I guess I'll have to buy a new one

Right now I unplugged it from my 'main' pc, and plugged it to another one, so if it's some fuckware on my HD that should fix it for now, afer Googling I found out that most of the people that had the same problem fixed by doing one of the two things: updating the firmware or formating the HD

I would suggest calling the Manufacturer.

routers do that all the time, they just lsoe conection after a certain period, just unplug both modem and router for 1 min, shutdown comps, plug back in modem, wait till its conencting, plug in router and boot comps.

If you lose your connection constantly, its rather a problem with your connecting line/station. I guess you are on adsl or?
