You had issue with Kal when he brought to your attention errors/bugs/security flaws with your program and what did you do? Banned him from using your programs. What did he decide to do? He wrote a program that has some of the same features as yours as well as some new ones, no security flaws as can be found in TTT, and a similar layout. The code is his own. If you even bothered to look at the code...you'd see that. Get your head out of your ass.

Your use of strong arm tactics like you mention in the post below are pretty funny. So funny that some people you've sent traffic to as a result have taken your traffic and continue to use the script. Please do take a more hands on approach, as it will only come back to bite YOU. Anything "hands on" done by you will be dealt with accordingly. As you will be the one in the wrong.

Once again...let me clarify this for you. CJOverkill does not = TTT. Check the code and you will see.

Rewrite doesn't mean copy does it? Inspiration and plagerism are two completely different things

We'll take the drama. The layout looks the way it does for that reason, and it seems to have worked. Choker's panties are in a twist, and if he even bothered to check out the code...he'd see that it's not TTT. The script is already being downloaded by quite a few people coming from this thread. That we can deal with.

That's because he has no other recourse. The script is not a copy, so there's nothing else he can do but resort to his (illegal) strong arm tactics.

Neither are really "free". Choker takes 2% and we're taking 1%. But other than that...you're probably right on.

Check out the CJOVerkill license. If you so chose, you can use CJOverkill as the basis for a version of your own or contribute to the cause and make additions to the core of the code.

The goal of this project is to provide the best trading script available. Not the best free script...the best script.

As an impartial third party I'd have to say after just looking at the demo of cjOverkill that it looks like a copy. I don't give a shit if the guy did do all the coding himself... would it be so hard to also change the format/layout too?

There could be some really cool patents for this biz -- but it's really hard to tell who has first-use -- there were non-adult guys doing hardcore scripts way back in the day... you would read about the startups in WIRED magazine... but most of these scripts are born out of the necessity of the way the internet works... nobody really invented electricity -- we just discovered it...

There are some obscure scripted sites that broke new ground way back but they faded out -- like the old Monkey links multi-category toplist was an amazing script and the complete-free porndirectory was really some impressive code... but who really knows what innovations came first -- that code never gets released to the public...

When you release source code to the public you only set yourself up for trouble unless you obfuscate your code.

This was already addressed. The layout looks the way it does for a reason. See the response it has generated. It's just a few basic HTML tables...there aren't too many ways to do that
