2 of my C++ programmers are working on a Instant Tread notification system for GFY, it will enable you to receive instant notifications like GMail incomming email notifications for new posted threads and messages posted in threads in wich you are participating.

While you continue your work, you will be able to watch ALL activity on GFY realtime, and have the ability to instantly participate in threads via a simple click.

If it becomes a success, also thread and post filtering like b0ardtracer.com will be build in with the difrence you will be receiving notifications in realtime!

Our crawler will just crawl the board every x seconds and notify the user with minimum information only, (e.g. title and a short quote). The user will then have to visit GFY to read the full tread or post, no threads or posts will be provided to the user directly. It will just notify the user realtime about ALL activity on GFY while he/she is browsing the web or checking stats etc.

Meh, leave it be, or simply request from GFY an RSS feed if it doesn't already exist, that way it still stays WITH GFY, and you can build your application around XML
