I have a standing prescription for Vicodin and only use them as needed to reduce pain...usually only when I travel. When I travel I usually take one every two hours...and other than reducing the pain to some extent I cannot tell that I have taken anything...other than the heartburn they seem to give me. I have had a prescription for years and I do not find them to be addictive at all.

since vicodin is made from the tylenol base, DO NOT TAKE TYLENOL

Taking Tylenol on top of the vicodan would cause respitory problems, GI bleeding (gastrointestinal) and irreversible kidney damage.

The liver can take up to 4000mg of acetamiophen a day. After that, it's an acetaminophen overdose and it leads to liver failure, unless the antidote, N-Acetyl-cysteine, is given.

I don't know how and why they survived, but my 1st guess = Bullshit.

Last time I got sick the doc gave me cough syrup with vicodin in it. That shit's EVIL! I found myself downing 1 quarter of the bottle per day (when i was spose to take one teaspoon per day) till it was gone.

I would take a sip, rip a bong, take another sip, rip a bong. Total vicious cycle. If I ended up with another bottle... I would have been so fucked. Get off it man and go see a Doc to help the cravings.

nah man, i know guys here in town that take 10-20 a day easy of those things

and when my wife was real sick, she was up to 3 pills a dose, and probably 4-6 times a day...of the 10/325 norcos

on a partying kind of night, i have been known to take 15-20 of them easy

when you start taking them, you start slow and gradually move up to bigger doses, and as you do your body starts building tolerances to the chemicals involved...including acetaminophen

yeah, i am sure we all have serious liver damage, but my wife and I also take natural herbs and chemicals to help the liver...kind of a counteraction of sorts

and btw, oprah is pretty damn informative sometimes...you should have seen that shit she did on meth addicts...amazing show that was

It's amazing that you only take one/day. As discussed on the board, normally people will advance to 10-15 day to get the buzz. Once you take that many the issue becomes physical dependance - your body aches, you have the chills, etc when you don't have them. That much Acetaminophen will also screw up your liver.

I started out around 1/day then after a few years ended up at 8-10/day. I tried to kick them cold turkey a few times but the physical pain was too harsh. I finally went to a doc and got off them ine a few weeks using Suboxone 2 mg - no withdrawl. It's the new methadone.

Personally I don't think one day is anything to worry about. It's almost like having a beer everyday. Nobody would question that. Start worrying when 1 is 2 then 3,4,5,.....
