Here's something that really pisses me off. (Small rant)

You have home phones, work phones, and cell phones.....But 80% of the time you don't fucking answer them.

Then come the excuses:

I left the cell phone in the car. (WTF do you have a cell phone with so many minutes for if you are gonna leave it in the car?)

I was working in the yard. (Great. Then take your fucking cordless and or your cell phone with you.)

The battery is dead. (Unless you have been away from an outlet or your car charger for 3 days, there's really no excuse for this shit.)

The phone was on vibrate. (So what? I leave mine on vibrate all the time and I still hear or feel it. You have a clip for the damn thing, put it on your hip.)


My Mom, Sister, and Dad are ALL guilty of this shit. My mother called me hours ago and told me to call her cell...But then she doesn't answer the fucking thing and for some stupid reason, they decided to turn the voice mail service off even though it's part of their plan. I can't even leave a God damn message to answer her question.

I will undoubtedly get a call back from each of them today. "Did you call?" Of course I fucking called. That's why you see my number on the caller ID display. WTF kind of moronic question is that?

God damn.....Now I'm gonna have to drive over and see if they are home. What a pain in the ass. There is no excuse for this crap.

Sometimes it is method (even though a cowardly way) but some people don't have the balls to say the real truth and that is "I really didn't feel like talking to you when I saw your phone number on caller ID." I don't answer any calls if the call ID says Private or Unknown. You should know that from me Aaron....LOL

Dial *82 then my number and if I feel like answering when I see your number if I don't answer then see the above statement....LOL

I don't answer the unknown ones either.

However, I never ignore a call.. what if it's something important?

I am atleast considerate enough to pick it up and say I'm busy at the moment.

i always answer, unless i am sleaping or on another important call

we have 7 phone lines at work, i have a phone at home, and 3 (yes 3) cell phones.

I've been on the phone with 4 people at the same time and it's fun. even if i am on the phone and a call comes in on call waiting i at least answer the call and ask if i can call them back. that way i can see if it is really earth shattering.

phone ethics are very important especially these days. email and txt ethics are also becoming more important. ethics of posting on boards should be important too.

That is so true, how many people dont answer there phone, i bet some people do have there phones with them, but they see who is calling and decide just not to answer their call, pain in the ass

i agree, i stoped going to a local steakhouse and started frequenting the Outback because they always have warm bread and soft butter. they also seem to put up with me being very picky

What if somebody is dying and would like to speak to you before they pass away.

I had a family member call me a few months ago. My grandfather was in the hospital. Had I "ignored" the call I would have never seen him again as he died the next day.

Everybody that I would want to speak to before they died, has already died. I have an alcoholic mother that just turned 70 that I havent spoke to in 5 years, I figure why ruin a good thing and break tradition. Dad died when I was 7.

Only other family member I care about is my father-in-law, and I speak to him on ICQ daily.
