To pop or not to pop?

I've noticed a number of companies out there offering a reduced payout for no exits. Is it better to get paid 20.00 with no exits or 35.00 with exits for the same join?

Some people hate popups so much they leave the pages they think are causing them. Some surfers think chains of popups are some sort of virus, especially when they crash their browsers. It all depends on your traffic and how much you think you can irritate them and still make money. Personally I absolutely hate popups and slow loading pages, and once I get one off a link on a page I am gone.

I use them when everylink that pops has my ref code. If it get's three deep and shit is going 19 different places it's a traffic leak IMHO.

I only use no pop ups, but would have a hard time justifying promoting one only paying $20.00. Not to say that I haven't and wouldn't, but the sponsor would have to convert like mad, and be under saturated.

$30.00 is great, $25.00 is tolerable.

For places I don't have to, it depends on the pop. A single one that still carries my code, sure. A zillion windows, nope.

However, with a payout differential that large $35 for pops on a console exit is hard to say no to.

I always request join pages without popups and I get paid the same as with pops I know not every sponsor will do this though

Was just checking links on alot of sites I promote, and most range more in the $20 - $25 per console free. So I think thats the way to go. Still make money

For paid spots, I think most gotta shoot more for the $30 - $35 payout to make some profit.

Depends on the traffic source - the shittier the traffic the harder ya pop. Of course if you can get one of the sponsors that pays for the pop conversions as well as the 35 up front thats even better.
If its good targetted SE/LL traffic Id say the less pops the better - but I wouldnt go as low as $20 - way too many out there that will give you at least $25
