Now that I?m self employed and full time model, I was wondering what to report as far as my income. From what I understand a lot of people here work in adult industry and would like to hear their advice.
How many of you report your real income to IRS?

A further refinement of extortion, - invented by a few countries to make their citizens criminals when they don't pay enough.Originally posted by sexxxydesign.comwhat are taxes? :P
Sadistic civilized societies also force folks to sign tax documents on an annual basis - otherwise and they can be criminals for making inaccuracies or not signing.
In a way, it's like a religous cult where you contribute a percentage of your income towards deserving causes - like the construction of aircraft to bomb people and paying of salaries to govt employees who waste the rest. The moment you don't contribute - you get excommunicated.
Now, don't you just like real freedom and not having to pay that nasty stuff without it being "illegal"?

Prob 25% "supposed" webmasters here don't even earn a living to pay tax.Originally posted by polish_aristocrataccording to a poll from few years ago 50% ppl here dont pay taxes....
10% are prob not US citizens and have the freedom to organize their tax affairs and are legally not liable for any taxes.
15% are incapable running a biz or filling a tax form - but live off epassporte and totally convinced they won't get caught out.

There are a number of epassporte peeps who use it just for that reason. Not to pay taxes. But that card, like any card, has an electronic trail. Maybe a bit shiftier on the surface to trace, but still can be done.
I just pay da man. I'm not happy about paying taxes, but I must, and I do not want them up my ass having me dig out 10 years of receipts and such. So I just save everything now, put my portion in the program, and spreadsheets. Turn it all over to the CPA and let them deal with it.
They tell me how much I need to pay. I complain and curse about it. Then pay them. Life goes on grief free.

Don't even consider not being honest with your reporting. You'll really regret it. I've known folks who lied and got caught, and it wasn't pretty.Comment

Don't be stupid... What is it with you models not wanting to pay taxes?? Everyone in the US has to pay taxes it's what makes our economy go round. I don't know how many times i've had models ask me "why do i need to fill out a W9? Do I have to pay taxes?" I just wanna tell them of course you do you dumb ass bitch, everyone has to pay taxes. Get your act together and be a reponsible tax paying citizen versus being a money hungry dumbass that will eventually get caught and audited by the IRS. Then you'll be kicking yourself in the ass and saying I should have listened to the Guys and Gals on GFY.Originally posted by Sexy JessicaNow that I?m self employed and full time model, I was wondering what to report as far as my income. Every freaking penny. As mentioned previously, I do deduct every expense I can legally expense, but I pay every dime I owe - probably even more just to be sure. I've been through an audit years ago - it's not fun. It's also why there's still a box in my basement labeled "TAX INFO, 1996+"
