Whichever company ends up owning the domain names, if they play their cards right, can end up owning a large chunk of that industry. Seldom does a company have a chance to own the domain name that defines the industry they are in... a rare opportunity. Once the names leave our ownership, I am sure the new owners will have no desire to let it go.
