On why meta tags matter:

It does not stop the fact that search engines do scan the webpages and if there is no meta tags to grab the information from it will take what ever text there is on the webpage and insert it into it spider ! Don't you think such search engines need something to go by........ And you have many top spots... Is this by fluke? or is your search engine positions much lower?

This started out by someone saying that Google and other search engines don't need meta tages... This is not actual fact... As I will say again the search engines need some actual information for their spiders... Where oh where do you think such information comes from?

You play like you understand the history of the Internet perhaps you can explain how such came to be. Starting with ARPA, ARPAnet, DARPA, DARPAnet, IMP-IMP and how DARPAnet played a role in creating the TCP/IP protocal. Also for fun why not introduce DARPA to everyone ;)

There are several benoits in the industry, I believe the current one is a freehosted noob. (there was one with fasterbucks as well, I think, and there could be one with aebn, although this is most certainly another one)
