I don't know if this sort of thing helps you to gain the interest of your affiliates or what, but it's not doing anything to turn me on. Just because I haven't sent you any traffic yet, doesn't mean I don't intend to. I don't appreciate getting emails like this, especially from what is supposed to at least come off as a legit business. I've been working on getting my sites together, it can't have been more than a week or so since I signed up anyways. Actually, you would be suprised how many people respond to those emails with questions that get answered and they start sending traffic

They might as well have been honest and said what they wanted to say "please start advertising and make us some money". In my own eyes, I would have taken them far more seriously. I can see where you're coming from...but at the same time, I think it has a lot to do with the fact that you haven't dealt with The Mayor that much yet.

You're probably right. But when i saw an email with the subject "justin has a secret admirer!" (which is a total spammers subject line) and looked and saw that it was coming from what i knew was one of my affiliate programs, i was opening the email with a complete "what the fuck is this garbage" mindset to begin with. After reading the email, all i could do was draw blank. You have to admit though, that after dealing with endless spam this email does seem a little like just another cookiecutter impersonal 'get with the promoting us already' message thats artificially disguised as something personal.
