If Servage is of interest - it's prob worth mailing them about the exact datacenter location. Servage GmbH is a German corp with datacenters mainly in the EU, but also with representation in Australia and the US.

Doubt there would be any problem assigning you to a non-US server

True but for a change I wanted to try a completly NON US based host. Serveage still has its offices in US and hence does not fit the bill.
