how about forums that thumbnail and share tons and tons of full site rips and dvd rips etc. usually with rapidshares help (and advertisers help)?

pornbb has a whole bunch of your stuff on there, 60 threads found searching on homegrown alone... forums are worse than torrents because they are more easily accessible

Find the uploaders and anyone infringing on your copyright. Find out where they live. Send them an email telling them you have logged and found them, so they try to hide the evidence which is what fucked the girl who got sued by the RIAA.

Set up a site with all the information and news on people being exposed as thieves and how they got screwed for doing it. Cases like the above and all her public information will be there. The guys who settle out of court are referred to a "A man in San Diego California recently settled for $2,000 for uploading porn movies to TorrentXZY." With the full story but no names. The guys who don't settle can have the full article and details on the site. Any news stories would be linked as well.

Then sue them, offering to settle out of court for a fee or going to court.

You will need to speak to a lawyer, sure you know a few, so as not to fall foul of extortion. But all the money made is put back into the kitty to go after other pirates.

As I said just an idea and might work or might not. Thieving music makes you an opportunist, thieving porn makes you a pervert. Neighbors would love to know you're doing that.

The pirate bay is probably loving this. People go after the smaller torrent sites (ie Demonoid) and taking them down. That drives more traffic to the pirate bay.

One thing occurs to me about the anti-piracy fight. Maybe this was already suggested at the piracy roundtable a while ago, but as I wasn't involved so here is my suggestion in this open forum. Big content producers should select one offending target and simultaneously sue them with multiple lawsuits from separate parties. Imagine the company having to defend itself against a dozen multi-million dollar lawsuits simultaneously from different content producers. I think that could work as a tactic to get cooperation from the torrent sites.

The only reason we didn't show up was because Spike, the person best within range to attend easily, had family obligations and could not attend. We would not be opposed to working with your group at all but I would really need a bunch more information about who is involved. For example, we were very strict about companies that were allowed in the Defense Group we formed to fight things like Acacia. Only reputable companies that were willing to go the distance and face discovery and disclosures in the court's public forum were allowed, upstanding folks that had nothing to hide on their tax returns, had good 2257 compliance, etc. - you get the picture.

How about just banning the affiliate without having to look into it more than establishing username based on reflink? What else is there to look into? Unless, of course, you need the signups he's bringing in.
