for short term stuff it seems to run fine If I leave it running 24/7 it crashes....and I only use it on a media server.
It has a way to go before I would do anything mission critical with it....a LONG way to goMike South

It runs smooth for me although getting drivers for the older stuff is a painComment

Since there are now proper drivers for vista you should not have much problems, but make sure you have 2-4 gigs of ram and ready boost pen drive being the max of 4 gb and you will have a good system. O and a dual core does help

Everyone gives way too much consideration to what o/s they are running. The truth is as long as it's stable I don't really care what my box is running.
I'm running Vista on my computer here and I'm doing fine with it.Herschel Savage

Never had a problem with Vista, although I did try upgrading to Service Pack 1 a couple days ago and the fucker corrupted one of the start up files. The upgrade desk fixed the problem for me after a couple automated rounds, but still... fuck.Comment

I got Vista... No problems and all my favorite programs run on it just fine.“If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”Comment

I have had no problems with Vista, but I have had my friends who work or trouble shoot problems with computers say that when someone is using a computer with Vista can be complicating.Comment

This topic is covered twice a week here on gfy. Do a search. Vista is good. Best consumer OS from MS so far by far.
For some reason people follow the hype to say its bad. It comes from ignorance. Cant think of anything else.Comment

Then youre doing something wrong. I can leave it on for weeks without crashing. If i can do that then you are clearly doing something wrong.Comment

Funny you say that again after me and others showed that 90% of all your points were invalid. You were talking made up bs that were simply lies. I cant understand how you dare to say its crap again after you were pointed out for being totally fucking wrong. You just made shit up trying to make it look bad...why? Did Vista molest you as a baby or what? It looks as if youre very fucking angry at it if you have to make up stuff to make it look bad. I find it very ignorant that after we pointed out on how many points you were wrong you simply ignore it and continue with this shit. Really fucking ignorant. Its as if because you know other people like me can run it without problems it pisses you off or something.Comment

Its so funny how a great OS gets bashed by all the sheep because they either read stuff from other sheep or they were too stupid to configure it after the first install. Now theyre pissed off and feel better by calling it shit.Comment

The only issue I have with vista is sometimes Adobe Bridge will crash if I have multiple apps running (usually just iTunes, PS, Illustrator and Dreamweaver). Other than that, it works like a champ for me.ICQ: 400782448

I like Vista, it's nothing wrong with it and most applications work.
The only issue I've had was when I tried to run Visual Basic 6 projects. Now I have to do it from a Virtual XP installation.Free 🅑🅘🅣🅒🅞🅘🅝🅢 Every Hour (Yes, really. Free ₿itCoins.)

I'm a Mac user mostly, but have Vista installed in a few places. I've never had an issue. No crashing, No issues with old software or hardware. Nothing. We have an OEM install disc of Vista Ultimate with none of the bloatware the PC manufacturers install, so that helps I'm sure.Comment
