POF is a friggan joke, well maybe not for everyone but ALL I seem to get on my profile there is shitloads of 50-65 y/o women STARTING at TWICE my weight.

Now, okcupid.com THERE is a decent site, 100% free, not too many ads cluttering up the place and allot of times theres at least (as they claim anyway) 10k+ users online.

I would say the trick is make it fun, make it more like a social networking site and less like a meatmarket, seems to be working for okcupid.

We getting 50 plus people a day but it's 70% guys so I want to balance it out more and the more people the better.

There are PPC's like adbrite or black label ads (owned by adbrite) where you can customize campaigns to show to either males or females. Not sure how reliable it is, but may be worth a shot. Talk about how your dating site's guys have better jobs than the other guys... and mention "romance" instead of getting laid tonight.

Whatever happens, guys will always be the people who make you money, I guess we are just desperate to get someone to play with our balls.

According to industry stats, most adult dating sites have a ratio of anything up to 20:1 Male to female. Whereas normal dating has anywhere between 1:1 up to 2:1 depending on promotion and look of the site. However, in my experience it will vary as every site is different.

Like everything else these days, the way to go is more niche specific and that way you don't need to worry about targetting to male or female. You can just promote to the niche itself. One campaign instead of Two.

The only other thing you can do is either buy profiles, or maybe organise some sort of XML feeds from an already established adult dating site. Both have pros and cons, alternatively you can go down the pre-population route and have some sort of branded/whitelabel solution and you'll get members straight away for your new members to talk too.

On the "photos" page there are 15 photos. 5 broken down into 3 seconds. The top 5 are ok but the next 10 are nudes. Your typical girl isn't looking to join a sex site and those kind of things are probably why you are not attracting the female clients. If you click "more" you see the picture of a girls vagina.

Are you running a sex site or a dating site? You are going to have to pick. This is where you seem to have a problem. If you want to run a sex site, the go all the way. If you want to run a dating site then scale back on the nude whores and focus on a more clean marketing approach.

Any good bar owner will tell you that if you bring in the women, the men will come. This is so very true for a site like yours. So if you want to keep it a dating site, clean up what you have to get the girls in.

Kelli58 that really makes a lot of since, I need to lock down a niche for sure. I was thinking of a social network/dating/adult stuff type site lol but I'm starting to understand how the adult stuff cancels out the other stuff.

I still want to allow adult stuff but i think I need to regulate it more. Like add a option that specifies if the image or video is adult and make people agree to allow adult before seeing it. Kind of like google image search, how it filters adult by default unless you turn it off.

And yes those are great ideas with the quizzes and such, we are working on groups and then games and quizzes contests all are a brilliant idea.
