Hello all GFY members. I am sticking this thread out there for a friend of mine, Dirty Danza.

Saturday night Dirty Danza's house caught on fire and spread very rapidly here in Las Vegas. His house has been deemed unlivable and both of his vehicles were burned to the point of not being able to be driven.

Everyone made it out of the house ok but are in a world of shit because of the fire.

I myself and going to make a donation to help him, his wife, and kids and if you can do the same I am sure it would be greatly appreciated.

Of course he has insurance. The next few weeks + months are going to suck though, all his family lives in another state so he's got to find a place for his wife and children (plus two dogs) to live while he sorts his stuff out.

It certainly sucks to have happen, but I still don't get what the need for donations are. Insurance will cover the costs, even any hotel.

Man that really sucks.... some people are acting like insurance is this perfect buffer that makes your life all peachy and wonderful in Happyland... anyone who actually had to collect insurance (AFTER a ton of out of pocket expenses that need to be done asap) would tell you otherwise. Insurance is better than nothing, but that's pretty much it.

Yep, that's very true. My sisters house burned down a couple of months ago, she is still chasing the insurance company to get some shit done. And I'm from the Netherlands, it's supposed to great here.

I know how this feels and I'm giving. It sucks to have to wait for an insurance company to repay while you're having to pay out to keep everything going. You can bet money insurance will try to get out of it and will never cover all the costs.

Totally sucks. Glad eveyone made it out alive. I'm always worried about this happening to me with all the electronics in my house. Just checked my firesafe with my content, and 2257 scans in it. Locked, and loaded.
