For the right person (mostly PE business imo - people that already know and make money in the PE industry) it can worth a fortune.
As you know SE don't care about TLD's therefore you can get realy high SERPs with it.

So 50 sales to return an investment on a great catchy domain that will bring back the customers and serve you for years to come sounds very reasonable to me.
