Yikes that looks bad.. He hired me to do an affliate design for him a few months ago.. He paid for that and ordered something else.. He almost has that paid off and is now MIA, after some major changes to the design ..
Hopefully I hear from him today ...

FWIW, I've always received the money has has owed me on time, although with occasional hassles, and that has been no small amount of money. That doesn't mean I'm vouching for him or anything to that effect, because I vouch for no one but myself, but he has always paid me. I'm owed some more money that I'm expecting today, and I have no reason to expect I won't receive it, but I'll let you know either way...

Thanks for the replay.. He was always super nice and had no problems paying.. He did say a few weeks ago he would pay the balance.. And I have yet to hear from him with several attemps to reach him.. Hopefully he is just busy and will see this thread and make final payment so I can deliver the project..

I was supposed to be paid yesterday but I didn't receive it. I was told by someone that works for him that he was expecting deposits to come in yesterday but they didn't because of President's Day being a bank holiday, so I would be paid tonight. I truly hope that is the case...

I have a couple thousand in dues to be paid. About 3/4 of it is people I dont think will pay me and the other 1/4 is people i truly feel hit hard times and have actually tried to pay it off.

You like to help people out and ensure confidence by accepting post pay, but ten to one the people wanting that 'confidence' factor are the ones thatplan on taking the goods and running...

You have that right Deej.. Looks like I will not be getting the final payment on this design.
I find the people that have a problem making a deposit, are the ones that stiff you in the end. I will not do any work for anyone without 1/2 down for the project, no matter what company you are and how much money you have. Clients like this are the reason for the union of designers to share bad experiences. I guess I can take te design and re-sell it.. it was a pretty nice dating site... I did 2 coomplete vertions as well.. I did one just like he specified and he loved it.. Came back 2 weeks later and wanted the entire thing to have different colors and a logo.. Guess I should have done a search for the client the start of the project.. Looks like this is not the first time he has done this to a designer in the past..
