Scammer Alert

On icq his name is Rule and his number is 324886262.

He tried to sell me some domains back in November and I just politely turned him down.

He hit me up today trying to sell hardlinks on porntube.com.

He quoted me a price of $260, then said it was per month, then begged me to make him any offer. Then he said that he'd do the link for $230 for a year.

He refused to put the link up citing company policy. Tried to say that he worked for WEG and that they owned that site. He said that they required at least 50% up front. We ended the conversation with me telling him that I thought that he was a scammer. He said that he'd get his boss' permission to put the link up prior to payment and get right back with me. Then he logged off of icq.

Just a heads up...I think most folks are too savvy to fall for something like this, but thought I'd post the warning just in case he were to catch somebody in a "weak" moment.

The funniest part is he hit up my icq today also trying to sell some more links at which point I just call him a scammer again and he goes away for a few months.

I read a simular post on xbiz when one scammer use the mods name just like mine is being used. lol. Out of thousands the basturds picked me. Don't know rather to laugh or chop heads off man.

Well, this guy was pretty obvious. Dropping your price from $3120 for a year (he quoted me a monthly price of $260) to $230 for a whole year is a dead give-a-way. Then refusing to put the link up first, c'mon. I mean, if it was a network of sites I could understand wanting something up front but one site, he could have a link up and down in less than 30 seconds. Refusing to put a link up to prove that he owns the site screams scam.

I've been hit up with a lot of offers for links on domain names that were mainstream that expired and someone bought it and added adult content and tried to pass it off as a valuable link. I didn't post a scam alert on those because that's a judgment call...in my judgment those are worthless, but it's not necessarily a scam or theft. "Rule" was blatantly trying to steal money.

One thing that stood out about this scammer is that his use of the English language is not so good. His grammar sucks. He says things such as:'

"So we gonna dont do anything about it"

He also had no clue about traffic for the site. He tried to tell me that a site that was ranked in the 4000's by Alexa got 14,000 raw hits per day.

It was quite obvious that he was making things up on the fly.

looks like this guy has been ripping me of for a year now.
Ive been paying him for links.. He actually puts them up though. But I paid for 1 year links back in January and again in August and my sites are not listed anymore.

Hes always hitting me up with deals. Every now and then over the years I pay em for whatever.. And it appears whatever is nothing.

This is very common and although I wouldn't call it a scam it isn't exactly good business, this one falls into buyer beware!

I did not know that about RDK...I just checked and some, not all, of my links are not up anymore on his sites and some of his sites are now parked. I've sent him an e-mail and an icq...he has yet to reply.

I'll post here when, or if, he does.

I've got a different Icq for RDK...I've got 572677954 and his name is RDKInc. I sent him an e-mail and icq yesterday and he has yet to reply. I'm assuming this is the same guy that ya'll are talking about and that he has different Icq numbers.
