epass is a bank to this biz. When a bank can't honor deposits, unless insured, they fail. That is why they are taking so long, they are getting their ducks in a row for bankruptcy. A one day hiccup would have been acceptable, a week is too much.

If ePassporte is able to restore their services I'd be pretty impressed. Even though they'd still have their relatively ignorant and sometimes unable to understand English (such as your username) outsourced call center.

But considering the alternatives now that ePassporte is having so much trouble (payoneer, and okpay.com) I'm sure EVERYONE hopes ePassporte is able to turn this around --- even when some of us think there's a good chance VV's functioning and the funds currently in people's VV accounts are gone.

My original thought is that it would take at least 6 months for anything to get released. I'm not talking about all the technical bullshit that people have mentioned in other threads, about the banks in St. Kitts seperate from the wallet bank apparently owned by Chris Mallick - I'm just basing it off of previous experience with these kinds of things.

I don't use ePassporte much but I was planning on using it in the very near future... I'm not sure what my thoughts would be on using it on a regular basis if all services are restored.

Assuming the OP was a serious post it is a little flawed.

Yes the epasporte wallet system works well but I doubt it would be viable as a business if it was only used by people who have mechanisms to get their funds OUT, and the fact that they have an infrastructure and setup that WOULD work for any business doesn't mean that it couldn't fail in its present incarnation or that people will trust it in its next.

Epassporte make their money on the sheer volume of P2P and ATM withdrawals daily and losing the Visa card or other ATM card will lose them a huge percentage of users.

I had to stop using epass 3+ years ago because Chase Bank blocked them. I couldn't load my account from my check card or my checking account. Does me no good to use them as a "paypal" type service because I can't ever load my shit.

i have to disagree. At least for intl community visa was absolutely useful. So much useful that I would gladly forget my 1k there just to get my visa functionality back. If you want wire then no need to have epass - most sponsors can wire directly to your bank.

I happen to be with RogerV on this one I have posted since the first day that Epass will come thorugh the other side. They may have a tough time gaining sponsors trust but being that they have been around for so long and that The visa was only a portion of their business they will be fine. They wont be making enough funds to make another movie any time soon LOL but they will pull through and Im sure in the next month if Visa doesnt come back they will do something similar like payoneer and go with MC.
