Newb Knows Nothing About Hosting!

I have a video blog on blogger getting 8k+ hits a day I plan to eventually become a tube site using the mechbunny script but for now I just like to get off blogger(blogger doesnt index post from adult blogs in google) so I could be getting more traffic than I am now.
Im leaning toward trying vidiscript (since its free) they have recomended host and their links say prices starting at $2.99 a month $4.99 a month but when i emailed them they kept recomending dedicated servers starting at $299.99 and hybrid servers starting at $139.99. I anticipate my traffic going up to 15k to 20k a day once im off blogger. Do i really need the kind of hosting they're suggesting?

Depends on how many Users are online at the same time, and, if you rip the Videos on your Server or embed then ect.....

For example: If your Hosting-Package allows max. 10 Connections, your only can have 10 Users online at once.

Simply ask your Hosting-Provider for a custom Offer. Tell them, how many Visitors you'll have a day/at once ect.

I would get a full user, your just going to have major issues trying to run that on a vserver.

The big question is: do you host your own movies?

If so you need a dedicated server.

go for certified shared hosting and try nubiles free tube script, its the easy and best for hotlinking sponsor videos.

If your hosting provider only allows 10 connections at once you are getting fucked.

Talk with these guys they can set you up right and also help you along the way.

Yeah, when you start hosting the movies on your own server you need a dedicated server for sure. For now you should be ok, and I say use Certifiedhosting dedicated server because they will install third party scripts for you, such as Mechbunny,, for free. Their servers start at 100 a month Managed, and I have had a great experience using them as my host. Also, when you are ready to go to a dedicated server, they will transfer your current site/database for you for free, and its nice to leave that stuff to the pros.
