Hi Guys,

I appreciate all your input and knowledge surrounding the best ways to promote and how to structure sites.

What do you currently think to my site:

http://foxydrop.com

Are there any features you like, and is there something missing which you think could help to improve the sites appeal.

Your views would be appreciated

Thanks

Last Updated: The models section became paginated and thumbnail pictures were also added for easy recognition

Interesting view, what makes you say this? or are you saying that unless you put alot of work and effort in then you would see very little return?

Thanks for these, but do you have any feedback on my site itself?

Why start with a banner farm? The site is to static for my taste.

Hey there.
My suggestions would be to:
Remove the home page. It really doesn't say much other than your working to put more content in. It looks like you have a lot of content but sounds like you are new or not ready to be up. I know why you put it in there but I always see that kind of content as potentially damaging as the users have to trust the site, especially if they are clicking thumbs to go to galleries. Maybe keep two banners above, below, and maybe in between if your script allows it.

I would suggest using text links or putting text links in the footer. Good for seo and if they are scrolled down, it's easy for them to get wherever they want to go.

Maybe put some morphing rss blogs in there. Its just something extra for your viewers, they have tgp ones since that seems to be the direction of the site, and since it auto updates you don't have to worry about it much after you set it up. You don't have any content on there as is which will hurt you in the long run seo wise.

If you have some photoshop experience, maybe add a nice background in the mix. This is just a cosmetic suggestion but I think it would be nice. Here is a link to some sites that provide some nice free tileable backgrounds.
http://www.designshard.com/freebies/...ound-patterns/

If you have the time, you could find a nice background and tile it, then maybe even create a transparent background and lay it over the tiled one. Like two chicks surrounding your blue content box, that would be sharp. If you look at one of my sites, www.pornworship.com you can see I have a tileable background image, a tileable bar at the top, and a transparent background of a chick that overlaps them both.

Do you need to do this stuff? No, but I think if you have the time, some of this would prove to be helpful and rewarding. If you take any of my advice to heart, do the text links on the footer and maybe consider removing the explanation of adding more content.

Best of luck!

I was thinking of making it my main gallery thumb script, and what would you suggest changing to make the site less static?

Sounds good, I will think about how best to integrate the galleries in, the layout itself has not received many updates since I started the site itself but the scripts are integrated into the main site itself.

The text links are a great idea, and I cannot think why I never did this to start with, I will add it onto my upgrade list for when I next upload the index file.

Yeah I was thinking about how to integrate additional information into the main site itself, as blog feed would be useful, I wasn't sure whether to create model profiles with images and also a rating and comment section, but I'm not 100% sure how this would fit in. I would have to write an rss reader if I was to integrate a daily one, would be a challenge but it is something which would be useful for an external networked site.

That sounds like a good idea to wrap the main content with images of girls, I'm not really a photoshop user but I can use the Gimp so I can create some photoshop like effects. I will check out the site you suggested shortly.

I will redo my front page and also increase the thumbnail count in the gallery section, I just need to expand the amount of galleries shown. The integration of banners and adverts between would be useful, I could think of things to put in as well as sponsors who would fit into a gap like that, as some are not as tuned to direct galleries fresh out of the box. Creating and designing my own TGP's is something I was thinking about how to implement today, I think I might have a method of how to implement a gallery system and built it into my system.

I am looking at ways to expand the system out just it is going to take time as at the moment i have over 20k FHG's loaded into the database. I will see what I can do with the system

I forgot to mention that my site is completely hand coded (the whole system) and so it is easy (yet not) to edit and control, the whole site is dual built so that when on my home dev system it runs in debug mode and give me all the details but in a production environment it will never run in debug unless i unlock the script to do it.

Do you think the model thumbnails work?

http://rssphp.net/ nubiles and most others have daily rss blug urls you can just dump in there. If you get really creative you can do a randrange dump or have the feeds change like halfway throughout the day / multiple times a week.

You can make a tileable background then implement it within the html css tag, then make a transparent png with the two chicks, and insert in in to the body tag via css and center align it. Then you can make a div or table or whatever you like to make and align it center. just make sure you space the chicks right and itll lay above that transparent background nicely.

Do you think the model thumbnails work?

Rob
I personally would try to make them the same size as the other thumbs. I had trouble seeing faces and details with the smaller thumbs. I'm going to assume you made them that size to avoid pagination since you already had an alphabetical list, maybe some of them were making the page too long?

Ill be honest with you, most of my experience is from mainstream design. I can't tell you for sure those thumbs are too small, but I think they could be bigger. It is very cool though that you have multiple thumbs for one chick that go to different tgps. A lot of people will just link to one and im sure the viewers will be grateful for your extra work.

I think you're doing good.

Thanks for this, I know what you mean and it was to reduce the page size on the bigger model letters, It is possible to increase the size I just need to amend the image size and then I can increase the font accordingly. I will try it in development and see how it comes out.

Thanks for your views, the multiple fhg's is an interesting setting, as the first maybe 250 - 300 models have all thier sets linked together so they show under one thumb, once I have written the scripting I can setup the settings so that it can include / exclude / only show nn galleries, but I have not fully mapped all the nn's thou, but I will add it in one of my bigger updates to the system when I upgrade everything, I need to do another update, and also work out how to automate site hosted FHG's so it builds itself up without too much work as I have about 20k (if it pulls down correctly) which need to be coded up to run on the system. (FHG's are fun to work with) but i might add them in as I expand the networks out for the models and I start to categorize the galleries. Do you think it would be worth adding in a rating system for the users? as well as something which shows the most popular galleries and randomizes the current db to create a galleries / Modeld of the day?

Here are a couple of open source scripts for a star rating system
http://plugins.learningjquery.com/half-star-rating/

http://www.sayopenweb.com/star-ratin...ls-javascript/

I think it's a good idea. Maybe you can do a featured dump of like 5 or so thumbs that get a 5 star rating, or 4 - 5 star etc. It sounds like a little bit of work, but I can tell by how you write that you enjoy working with code.

If I am totally wrong, and you don't like dealing with the code, there is a tgp script that should have just about anything you would need, http://www.jmbsoft.com/software/tgpx/.

Its like 60 or 70 bucks and you could mod it easily as they give you the complete source code.

Either way, best of luck.

Your right, I do like playing with the code if I didn't I wouldn't of written a system which does what it does. I think the star system would be useful, I will definitely look into integrating one along with a profile and maybe comment system for the models and maybe a pagination system for the big ones so it makes it easier to navigate through the models galleries.

Your opinion and advice is greatly appreciated
