Depends on a lot of factors:
1. Mix of traffic, how are people finding your site, search enginges, direkt/bookmarking traffic or traffic trades/links? This also decides how interested they are in what you have to show and how long they stay on your site. Forced traffic/bought traffic is probably the worst, because they are not there by free will. 2. Geographical mix, from where are your visiotrs coming? US, Canada, EU, Japan and Australia pays good, while most other ountries pay bad. Credit cards are not as widespread so people in say Pakistan or India can't buy from your advertisers just as easily as a European can. This causes fewer advertisers to want to target the indian market and thus much lower interest in paying for an ad on a site with heavy indian traffic. 3. Where the ad is placed. If it's on your main page it will most probably get more views than if it's on a sub page hidden somewhere. More views usually equal more money. 4. Click throughs. If 100 people sees your ad, how many do you click it? Maybe a handful, say 2-10 per 100, and with a 10% lick through you are doing very good! You should reasonably expect a click through between 1% - 5%. So you can start doing some formula out of it. How many people sees your ad, how many will click it, from where are they and how likely are they to click on the ad? That basically puts a price on your advertising.
