18+ enter page law?

I hate this page, most bots don't index the site so I realy like to turn it off but...

What is the law about? I see big sites don't have it some have?
Is this just a US law?

My server is in US, I'm German, live in Greece, what is the law for me?

OK, back when I started around 1999, these were considered as "good faith efforts" to restrict access to adults only. My memory says that while it was/is not legally REQUIRED, if a person were ever called into court about their site, it would show you made an attempt.

Of course your only real answer will have to be from a lawyer, thats just what I remember from when I made free sites.

its not must,

as far as my knowledge , the countries where porn is banned , its must , so the users know they are about to enter a pornography site and they can chicken out from there.

good luck

where porn is banned , the warning page is mandatory or govn can ban ur site for whole country.

so i guess a warning page isnt much trouble to setup one.

If you live in Greece, that's probably what you need to focus on. I would consult with a local attorney there.

2257 compliance is becoming a bigger issue with overseas producers. Case law has established that overseas producers are not immune from prosecution. In American Library Association v. Reno, the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia applied the law to overseas producers, writing: "Foreign producers who wish to peddle their products in the United States should be expected to abide by our laws no less than domestic producers."
