Why doesn't anyone use .info domains?
How come nobody use's .info domains? From what I can see almost nobody uses these on here, or at least they are not selling them. My domain portfolio mainly consist of .info's since almost all of the keyword specific domains I wanted where available.
Some some they do not rank as well which is complete bullshit. I created a blog with only 5 post the last week of December and already on page 1 in google for a term with 4,400 exact searches a month. I am ranked 10th and get about 60 hits a day from google for just that one term. It's ranked on page 1 for a few other lesser searched keywords as well. Main reason I'm asking is if one day I decided to sell or something I want to know why people do not consider these premium domains when they can rank just as easily as any other tld.

because they're mainly used by spammers (they're cheap to buy and let expire when blacklisted) so google doesn't rank them too high usually...

I have a couple of PR 2 .infos, they do get lower traffic then my .coms but they still get around 80-100 visitors a day from Google...so they are still useful.

I do have to agree that a lot of times when I see a .info, I generally think it's a scammer type site and a lot of them are. I do not mean use a .info to create a pay site or a big money site on, but for general use of blogs and such for feeder traffic to sponsors, tubes, etc.
As for type in traffic, I can honestly say, I have never typed anything thing followed by .com into the search. When I search for something I just put in my word or phrase and search. I use to have a blog for an escort affiliate that was ranked between 1-15 for every keyword I was targeting and it was a .info. So I don't think google ranks them any less then any other tld.

I don't think google or any of the search engines rank them less. However I think people are less likely to click on it when they see thisshittysite.info in spot 2 when thisshittysite.com is in number 3 or 4 spot.
