I doubt that Paxum offers Merchant account in that sense that we could use it as payment processor (mainly for credit card transactions)...
If yes, please show me where do they offer it? Thanks

Epoch EU works for me. The rate isn't great at 15%, but it's on par with most other third party billers, but unlike the others Epoch does not take a hold back reserve.
Verotel look good on the surface and their Premium service starts at 14%. However, I dropped them out of my cascades when I saw that rebills were incurring a 1.5% additional charge!

Did you contact our sales department? Why pay 15%, when you can pay 7 or 8?

Because third party billing is easier and less hassle than trying to acquire a merchant account for some of us.

For small merchants or those with bad credit, I certainly agree. Otherwise, no.

Out of curiosity what is the gross monthly turnover upper threshold which defines a small merchant usually?

Hi,

I am not sure what you mean by turnover but if you are referring to monthly processing volume and are in the US, I would say $5k, 10k for offshore.

Thanks, Mitch

Well, if we were selling memberships or digital information we wouldn't mind giving 15% up. But we are in vitamins and nutritional supplements business and this would kill our margin. So we are looking for merchant account with low fees.. the best option we found till now is 2.95% + 0.30 cents/transaction.

Could anyone beat this? Thanks
