tag clouds for seo, any use?

As per title, do they help or hinder your SE traffic?

Around 12 months ago I'd have said don't touch with a barge pole or certainly no-index them. The last few months I've seen lots of tag pages ranking quite well in Google.

I'd say on the whole they help provided you don't overdo them. Install your favourite SEO plugin and make sure you noindex sub-pages.
