Do you think there is any value in .mobi domains?

Obviously it depends what domain it is and how well it's developed. I've recently regged a .mobi which is getting over 300,000 keyword searches in Google, is that any good?

The domain is not important. Google will index it regardless of the extension. Afterall the new domains that are coming have really wacky extensions. .pepsi anyone?

It really depends on where you are looking for traffic...

.com is king and will be for the foreseeable future, but you can certainly build a brand on another TLD and do just as well. Content is key - if you are generating traffic, you will bubble up through the search engine results regardless of TLD.

I always think in the back of my head though if a person was googling "porn term here" and the top few results included a .mobile or .info they would probably not click it while they are more likely to click anything.com
