My Questions about shooting and selling

So, since I am not a website creator and a decent site is a lot of trouble plus building traffic to it is hard (not my cup of tea as I fail miserably even with white label sites)...I want to start producing material and then sell it.

I normally do short films so to me, this is pretty straight forward for the shooting part of the deal.

Now I am wondering if I am better off doing EXCLUSIVITY sales or sell to multiple?

I see a few people here sell sets and videos, I am wondering if I am just better off doing it on here or set up a small website with the material for sale there? (Others do that too)

And seeing how I am partnering up with someone, we are trying to wrap our head around how much to expect.

I understand it is all relevant to the niche and content being produced and so many factors involved. It is really my partner who does not seem to grasp that too much.

I would be interested in hearing you opinions as to all this and also personally what niche you would go into and why?

HQ stuff is no issue but I have been seeing people specifically requesting super LQ material so I am a bit confused as to what direction go after.

Cheers.

The easiest way is to put your content to a seller, then do nothing and wait. Another one plus will be that you can put to the seller really evrything, any niche, any quality, exclusive or nonexclusive. BUT just take 5 min and count all your expences for the video, and then try to understand when you will get something from it... Sometimes it takes a lot of time to get income. Better quality costs much more, but expences begin to rise also. So you should decide what would you like to do, then count everything, check sellers or try to find clients yourself, make a small business plan and think again about it.

Thank you for your reply.

As far as the business plan aspect of things we got everything written down, own the required material, I do freelance editing already.

But as any good business plan, it is good to know for how much certain things go or else how do you know you have a viable business plan ;)
