Hi
Hi. New here and hoping to find some help.
I have done some research into affiliate programs, content, products etc.. the trading of traffic, banner adds etc.. Got domain registered and got adult content hosting. I can't get word press themes to seem to work right or good enough to say it's right, or say I understand it. I have limited skill in chopping and pasting html and building with Dreamweaver, but that means countless pages and billions of links to manually link (limited skill I said). I've never used php word press works on. However I did manage to randomly guess and edit sections of the themes php I am using to move the widgets that were in the way of main content screen. For some reason the widgets were stuck hovering over the center content screen so you couldn't see it. Taking courses at code academy online coding tutorials at this time. Also the main/center / table/cell (whatever) will not auto adjust to the content providers source code, so having to edit that any time I add anything. Word press theme I am using at moment is adult video (came in bundle of a bunch all the same just different colors). Got twenty ten adultere but its broke or something. twenty thirteen, fourteen, twelve, sixteen, responsive, pr news and a few others. none seem to work out right nor be fully customizable . Need a theme that's 100% customizable and functional. Cannot get the category function to work right. Managed to add the widget and add the first category. every category added after doesn't not show up, content replaces content of previous category, is extremely annoying, when deleted will still return if widget is put back to be worked on. Had to cut the code out and replace the whole thing just to get the first category back. not sure what I did really. I'll be honest, I'm totally lost newb with only a start up but hope to be able to make it grow and meet the challenge. The goal, To make a functional comparable adult site with as many affiliates as possible and make some money along the way if possible. Sorry for run on, I have a lot to learn and resolve. I could really use and appreciate suggestion and help. Can not post site url yet so if anyone wish to look at it for advice I will send it in pm or give my skype. lolli |

Wordpress usually seems like the best choice for a new website; however, I've found it to be hard to adapt to adult sites. The problem is finding the right theme and plugin to support the typical adult site layout. Either hire someone to do the design or learn some PHP and install a script like Smart Thumbs.

Thank you all for your valued input. At this time having difficulties with categories still. Managed to magically get category amateur to work somehow, managed to get category anal to somehow work, added category Asian and somehow it adds itself to or replaces the content in previous category or they play switch a roo. Had to go into category Asian and physically highlight and cut the code to remove it and fix the previous category back.

Thanks capsie for the advice and helpful ideas.
Looked into different themes, just have not found any yet that really fits what I am aiming for except the adultskin one that I am using at moment. Of course I do have a bit of stuff to fix on it. I have been sampling themes and have noticed no matter what the category links are still showing the affiliate code, no matter what theme. The only way I have been able to get the content to show up per category : make new category and where it says "description" Name and paste affiliate content code (embeds or tubes, whatever) into description box. Hit add. some reason once added have to edit to fix source code as for some reason parts of it are missing. Then add a post to category or the category will not show up. The post itself only shows up as a link to the post on the category but the category shows up in category list with the coded content showing. IF I could get a post to show as content instead of a link to content that might be helpful. What seems to be happening is when I name the category whatever I put in description shows on hover over of category name link instead of say just the title. So how to fix this? How to add the content code so that when someone clicks category link it goes to page with content and not link to content but without the code in hover issue |
