Earnings from abroad... and taxes

I am Canadian but I'll probably move to the United States in two years. I once worked as an editor for websites but I never owned websites. So I'm a newbie and this is why I ask your help.

I'm not officially a freelancer and I do not have a company. My intention is to make and operate websites as a sideline. So I do not have a tax number (VAT). It's called GST/HST account number in Canada.

If I get affiliate income from countries such as Hong Kong (from a company as Qpid for instance), Australia (from a company as Cupid for instance), and from European countries (from companies as Webcams dot com, Camspower, or Pussy Cash, for instance ) what happens with the VAT? Is it possible to have revenues of companies located abroad without giving his social insurance number, and without a tax number? Are these foreign companies communicate tax information with Canadian and US authorities?

Obviously I know we must declare all income worldwide... I tried to contact these companies to ask them these questions but none of them replied. Probably because I did not already have an affiliated account with them.
