:2cents Is this plugrush strategy a good idea?

Hello,

I have a small adult site named mahometown and I was thinking about the following:

buying plug (clicked) traffic from Plugrush, for example 80 dollars worth of traffic, which is around 53,000 uv.

The idea here is to make money with the popup ads that I have on my site. I´ve created 10 plugs on plugrush, all linking to picture galleries on my site where each uv will click on images and be shown at least 2-3 popunders. These popunders are from plugrush itself and popads.

Is this strategy a good idea? has anybody else here done something similar with good results?

It will fail, it is not a long term strategy. Build a visitors friendly website and add some unique content and do some seo on your website and you will get some results.

But that is only my opinion.

That is called traffic arbitrage , like forex etc.

But as jerkules said its not a long term strategy

You need also a good dedicated hosting.

You can earn money by this method . But its not long term.

I thought about this as well. What I have read too, Is that you can expect a certain percentage of bought traffic to be bot traffic. So you advertisers might drop you in the long run, If you keep sending too much crap traffic.

As some others already mentioned, this is a short term strategy. It's better to focus on gaining more and more traffic. Traffic is as you know KEY!
After building a nice flow of traffic you should check the options of making money out of it. There are many ways to do so. You can sell it based on CPC,CPM or CPA.

It's all about testing and tweaking what's working best for you. Would you be interested in CPA I can help you out for sure, but as this is not a sales pitch, you should consider all options!

But once again, traffic is key. Try to increase them and to give them something usefull!
Cheers!

Get the traffic then deal with the banking later.

Buying traffic to make money from popunders is not a good idea at all, as you wont even get close to what you spend. If you spend money on advertising though, try different options like:

Adamo Ads
Click Papa
Ero Advertising
Exoclick
Traffic Holder
Juicy Ads

See what works the best and go with that. If you want to measure the results it sounds like Google Analytics and all ad networks should be able to make it work with that. If not, they have their own dashboards with all the info that you may need.

Definetly a short term strategy.

My earnings at PlugRush were getting worse and worse so i eventually stopped promoting them altogether. Now i just do popunders to chaturbate whitelabels and pre-sale landing pages for affiliates programs such as VideosZ
