![]() We all know fraud is one of those monumental issues that threaten our business.
Bot traffic, which has been predominant on both CPM and CPC campaigns, can be a real drag. Adnetworks should be able to deal with this; to filter this sort of shady traffic that ruins our lives. However, they also need to be careful: if they?re too demanding and start filtering bot traffic like crazy, they risk losing their margin while reducing the publisher?s payout; if they are too lenient, they are basically showing they don?t care about those of us who are out there trying to play by the rules. What do you guys think of this? Any opinions on how to deal with this problem? Cheers! ![]()

Very interesting topic indeed
Some solutions exist to help for example you can use an API or JsTag solution from https://forensiq.com/ to detect threats. Suspected bot traffic start at 70% threat and the high risk at 80%. You can decide to send back or filter that traffic at the source Another solution is Block Bots and Stop Web Scraping | Distil Networks. Works great, the only issue is that they do not fully support adult sites on their own servers. So they offer adult sites their server based solution only. The good thing about both companies is that they charge based on queries (volume) One thing is certain, in 2016 you cannot do nothing against bots |

I think to go after the people who are trying to trick networks, more power to be able to freeze accounts that they are using to receive payments, make it a lot harder for the people to get paid - and where payments are being received need to work together to minimize this issue. Proactively check traffic and give partial refunds if a certain % turns out to be bot traffic to the people buying the traffic.
