Give them a situation when asking questions or eliciting clues will get them somewhere more interesting than rapidly clicking through canned dialogue and they will likely be sold on the idea of DM run conversations.

I never use any pre-scripted dialogue in my DMed games. While players have to be patient and wait their turn to speak, it makes for a much richer and involving story experience for those who enjoy the live DMed style.

Yeah, I know, but these events have a certain amount of scripted dialogue between NPCs, in shout mode, to alert and inform all the PCs to the events. Then, as people come see "what the commotion is..." I enter direct assistance to them...then then next scene has some NPC dialogue, again, in shout mode. This is the standard in this PW module.
