What is Spider Ninja? I got this thing crawling my board.

About two days ago I posted a question in the promotions section. Then this guy that goes by "Spider Ninja" post a reply like "wicked bot". About 10 minutes later I notice there is a an unidentified spider crawling my board.

Does anyone know why he would point this thing at my site? It crawled for 10 hours straight. IT stopped for about two hours and then started again. My site is a TGP with a forum.

Are his intentions good or bad? Anybody got any info?

Maybe he didn't. Maybe someone else did. His tools are open to the public as far as I can see from his site.

I got to admit wicked bots are fun to design I'm sure there are a whole bunch of people on this board running some kind of bot hitting their targets and gathering their data for god knows what

we got to go viral on that baby:

A self-propagating practice or pattern of Internet use that moves from person to person. Works best in consumer e-commerce because of easy adoption. Longer sales cycle for b2b e-commerce makes viral practices less important. Example: HotMail's explosive growth

same way gmail became so popular.. viral advertising means that the only way people hear about it is from other people.. very good strategy if employed properly
