Converting DVD to digital format
What software is good for converting DVD's to a digital format. I tried using BlazeDVD, but it only lets you record in 15 minute segments. Any suggestion is welcome.
I buy the DVD, and then I want to convert the DVD to a digital format, and rent the video online. I would secure the video so that it could not be downloaded our copied. Are there copyright issues with doing it this way? Thanks, ![]() |

DVDshrink allows you to copy a DVD to another recordable disc.
What you need to do in order to 'offer' content online, is to descript the DVD and copy the VOB files to your hard drive, then you have to use some other tools to resize, select codec for audio and video and finally encode the files to a different file format (such as WMV, AVI, MPG). Is actually fairly easy, but... if you need to do this in order to sell content from a DVD you bought and did not created, then like evryone says, is not legal.
