new domain issues

Hi,

ive just registered a domain and hired a web host, its been 48 hours and sites like godaddy.com are still saying that my domain name is available to buy, is this normal? or has my hosting company done something wrong ??

48 hours? Shouldn't take more than an hour. Are you SURE you regged it? Doesn't sound like it to me.

These days, registration of a URL is very streamlined...it takes no more than a few minutes.

There's an easy solution to the problem...first, make sure you're using a reliable registrar such as GoDaddy...and second...CALL THEM! That's what their customer support is for!

Even though it may be embarrassing if you're registering GoatFuckingLesbianScatSluts dot com or something.

Domain registration is pretty quick! Sounds like you definately should call the company you registered the domain with! Best of Luck!

if not, and it still shows available ( http://whois.webhosting.info/ ) you should be worried...

What does your host say ???
