Newbie Questions

Whats up all. Been working on developing a site for about a year and getting ready to roll out in a few months and had some questions as far as affiliates go.

Besides a good 50% payout/ quality site with weekly updates etc... and quality sales tools for you all, what are/is the things that make a reasonable difference in acquiring quality affiliates to push the site?

Well you have mentioned some of the key factors so you are already on the way. I would add to this that the more UNIQUE your content the better your chances of attracting affiliates. Just because you update weekly and give 50% pay-outs doesn't mean you will get loads of affiliates if your content is standard boy/girl sex and you only have 20 scenes in your members area - there are other sites providing the same content with much bigger libraries which will blow you out the water.
However, if your content is unusual or unique in any way then you have a great chance of succeeding and gaining lots of affiliates. What is your site by the way? You should be shouting it from the rooftops every chance you get from now on . . a potential affiliate could be reading this thread

Make sure you add the website name and affiliate info into your GFY sig too

My top 3:

1. Unique content
2. Original niche
3. Long descriptions with the FHG's in a weekly mail

Good luck

I agree with the other repliers on the point of "unique niches." It would help make more money. If the content you're using is too oversatured and overused on the net, it's not gonna help.

Thank you. The site is SOCALGIRLS.COM- Niche would be 18-25/babes/amateurs/Fresh Faces-

Tons of videos per model 5-8 videos per model, min 3-6 photo sets per model. Our focus is providing as much quality video content per girl as we can for our members. But we understand that the affiliates are what make us who we could be so really I am trying to grab a stronger hold on what exactly the affiliates want each week/day so they can sell it. The name in itslef should do wonders, but I am aware thats not enough.

All the info is welcome, please keep your ideas/opinions coming.

Another question if any of you have input:

Out of solo sites, solo mega sites, by that I mean different fetishes of girls within those sites, toy styles, softcore to hardcore toys etc.... sites that you have seen come onto the scene over the years and fail. What were, in your opinions, the reasons that they failed?

Not enough updates? Not enough tools for affiliates? Poor site design and navigation for members?

I would appreciate what you all have to say as im a perfectionist and want to make sure I did not skip anything through development.

Thanks.

All the pictures that form the links on http://www.socalgirls.com/ are missing - fix this ASAP. Otherwise the site looks good. My only concern would be the lack of content on the home page. Yes you have a video on there but there is hardly any other pictures / graphics on there. The trick is to use pictures to convey what the site is about INSTANTLY. Don't make the surfer go looking for what the site is about (yes the name suggests it's a solo girl type site but you need to smack them in the face with it).
Add some more pictures to the home page and make them VERY sexy ones!

Thanks, I noticed that. Whats up there now is solely for model purposes, its difficult to get fresh/first time girls to apply to ads with nothing up so we dropped that for time being. I will keep everyone updated with the site launch, which should be 6-9 weeks, its been a good 9 months of content shooting, marketing and development so we are hoping for the very best.

Let me ask you all this: So I see the players out there FTV, Ron Harris, Twistys, Matts Models etccc.....besides the models being hot, young and new, whats the pushing factor that has these guys succesful. Now I understand FTV gets pretty intense with insertions, the public stuff etc, but more than anything what, in your opinions has those guys doing well, or as well to what I perceive.

Let me be a little more clear in regards to the factors I was asking about.....

We have a great webwaster who we work with for our development and coding so I am very confident that the user panel, tour pages, teaser vids etc will all be as good as the big players. And besides the affiliate stuff I already asked about...

Content wise- Is that a driving factor for the larger sites, the amount of videos per model, the amount of photo sets per model? Or is it the extremes, fisting, foot fetish, panty stuffing, heel stuffing content that is allowing certain solo sites to do better than the rest?
