how do we stream video to protect it?
I can't post the complete url, so please add the first part yourself - gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=922292
The thread above is in a different area, but it has turned into a question for webmasters. How do we stream content for a newbie webmaster? The goal would be that it isn't easily downloaded and uploaded to ### tube, or ### share or torrent site. thanks |

These days everything can be ripped / downloaded. After you did everything possible to prevent downloading, they will record the video of the screen. Yes, there is screen thief software for videos too !

There is no way to protect your video, DVD, Stream or even Blu-Ray, from pirates at this time. Software vender's are turning to security dongles as means to license the software, this may be something to look at as a means to authorize viewing rights for video content.

Very solid answers an information above.
While I can't help with the protection of it, if however you want a great network to stream from, hit me up on what Caro.Net has to offer!

Streaming your video using an embedded player will prevent some video theft.
As Lassitor stated, there is no way to completely protect your video, but this will prevent the average visitor from downloading the video directly by simply right clicking and saving to his desktop. |

I agree with the other guys. These days a thief will get it if they want it. The best advice I got when starting out, was to include a watermark on each video. That way if someone ripped it, or recorded it from the screen, then they would have your watermark on the videos.
