Domain Parking

Hi All,

I'm going to park some domains and I'm wondering where to go. I found some parking services but I have no idea which to choose (Parked, ActiveAudience, Trafficz, etc). I'm not trying to make gold but some cash from those parked domains would be nice. Obviously, we talk about adult/erotic related domains so the TOS should allow such domains to be parked.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Cheers,
CodeR70

I'm using Pimproll's parking system with mixed results. Debatable as to whether or not I would be making more from Parked.com or Fabulous or similar at this point. Going to start a new thread about it.

Parked.com does not wanna do business with me. They didnt like the "quality" of my 21 domains I offered. I know they are not premium but I dont think they are that bad (well, I'm a noob still concerning this). I did park them at Sedo now which I think is not even so bad because u can get offers automatically in case somebody want to buy ur domain.

But concerning getting more out of it traffic/money wise I'm seriously wondering if I can do better. I mean as a software developer I should be able to create a reasonable landing page template for more then one domain and then park the domains myself. Then I can even actively drive some little traffic or even hardlink them (which Sedo does not allow).

But as u say in ur other thread, busy with other sites as well so I'm not sure. The reason I want to park these domains is just not to leave them completely idle and unused.

I keep an eye on ur other thread.

Cheers,

I rarely post, but wanted to drop my two cents here - since this is my game. I own a small portfolio of "parked" domains that generate around 10,000 type-ins a month.

I found that all the adult parking services produced dramatically lower profits than just creating a batch of fairly basic doorway pages and re-directing the traffic through them to a variety of good sponsors.

Sounds boring, but the numbers don't lie.

If you have specific questions, post and I'll see if I can help.

Best of luck,
shu

Thanks , this is exactly what I was wondering about. I'm new to this game and I even think because of that it would be wise to create a simple landing page with some sponsor links or adverts. Or maybe even a simple (fake) TGP of sponsor galleries.

Not sure yet but most parking services seem to optimize the pages depending on clicked links or searches. How that would work for me I dont know yet. Not even sure if that applies since I will try to drive some appropriate traffic and not just "wait what traffic comes by".

What I do see is that CPC is much higher on those parked domains then the average CPC of adult ad brokers which you add manually to the pages. Its still something I try out with mainstream of generic domain names. Still would like to experiment with that.

PimpRoll Domain Parking

I noticed that PimpRoll has a domain parking service. Does anybody have any experience with this? How does that compare to the normal parking you see with Sedo, Parking, etc? AFAIK they dont have much problems if you drive traffic to these parked domains or even have them linked so SEs can spider them.

Use Pimprolls parking service. You won't make better money elsewhere.
