What you know about Bundesprufstelle.de ???

I just received a letter from them (in german) saying something about one of my xxx domains.

I did a search and found their website http://www.bundespruefstelle.de but again , the infos there are in german. Only a short info in english saying that they are a German organization monitoring online and offline media to protect minors against harmful content.

Really don't know why my site is on their list and what they want from my ass.

My site is a straight blog written in english, targeted to english audience, hosted in USA...

Anyone have more useful information about these guys? or some german webmasters to head me up?

http://www.translate.google.com/tran...d%3D59218.html

The site says they "index" things and decide if they're harmful to minors or something like that, I didn't read much of it. Did you translate the letter?

German law forbids minors from entering an adult site.
You need age verifications (AVS) for German sites. Some tubes were blocked in google germany for that same reason I understand.

www . bundespruefstelle.de/bmfsfj/generator/bpjm/information-in-english.html
here is their english explanation.

I speak German, I can take a look.

But basically, Germans do everything with extreme precision (Porsches, BMW, Audi, and website laws). German websites need to post the owners address and phone, and adult verification needs to check users' id cards.

Still not clear why they bother with you if you have no german content. But they also want to legislate American Nazi sites. They definitely arrest the nazi site owner if they step on German soil.

It would make absolutely not sense, then, for a German language censoring business of some kind to send you a letter in German. You are saying your site is an English language text porn site. Makes no sense for the German language to get involved, then.
