Do you think it's worth it to install a lazy loader on a TGP page?

It prevents images outside of the user's viewport from loading before he/she scrolls down. Could save half a meg or more per pageload if the user doesn't scroll down...

Me personally when I see something like that, makes me think that the server is slow.. The uneducated surfer might translate that to the thought that if the server showing those images is slow then the members area of any site they are offering is slow as well.
Only one real way to know and thats to test it out. Also if you need hosted galleries!! We have them. Message me or mail me both are in my sig.

Thanks for everyone's input.
The idea of a lazy loader is to make it seem like the page seem like it loads faster, because the browser is "ready" as soon as all the images in the viewport are downloaded. In my case, like ~20 images instead of 120+ Is there anyone here who uses it, or am I just beating this with a dead horse? |

no, just install some other webserver for serving static content (like lighttpd, ngix, tux...) and you'll see amazing speedup...
