Otherwise, webmasters might end up deleting a shit load of legit posts. What about the issue with retro tube ? The homepages on all my sites are taking up to 12 seconds to start loading. All subpages work fine. Ideas? Known problem? |
Quote:
You're right about keep people informed but actually I don't want to inform people about a coming update if this one is delayed, that's why I prefer to announce it when i'm sure it's about to get released few days before. About RTT, I'm sorry but we don't have any general issue |
Quote:
You should be informing your clients. Not sure how this can be argued against tbh. With all these false positives, clients could easily end up losing a huge chunk of their posts for no valid reason. :2 cents: For retro tube. I am not the only person having the same issue. Brian Mike is also. Scroll page to page 15 (bottom) and you will see. PM your contact details and i will send you my site urls. Thanks! |

I've found what the problem is.
It is the WIDGETS. I have 7 widgets in use for the layout of my 'homepage' . I removed them and just used the 'theme options' ---> 'general' settings, and selected 80 random videos to populate my homepage. Homepage now loads fine. Instead of up to 12 secs, now under 1 sec. (however, i've obviously lost my custom layout) I put one widget back in the 'homepage' (random video block) to test the speed. It is taking on average 0.4 secs to execute , which is crazy slow. Please fix this asap. Something must of gone wrong in a recent update. Theme was working fine a couple of weeks ago. Thanks. ps. @brian mike - hope this helps ? |

they are spread too thin. too many products and not enough manpower (it feels like). not good when the bugs/issues could cause devastating effects to webmasters. ie. wiping out 1000's of legit posts (deleted posts checker) and super slow load times causing huge drops in SERP's (retro tube widget issue). and whatever else...... |

The problem seems just to be the execution time, using widgets. Populating the pages using 'theme options' works fine. Hopefully they will recognise the issue and fix it. I was going to start using a cron job for imports. Seems like a much more efficient way. Thanks again. |

I have 6 - 8 widget per site, i will try to remove them and add them back to see the difference on the page load time. :) |

I just dragged and dropped mine down to the 'inactive widget' area. In the hope i can just drag them back, when this is fixed. Cheers! |
Nice themes i used him years ago was thinking of hopping back in with one, this thread makes me a little nervous. Hope you guys get your issues fixed.

looks like they focus on selling as many products/licenses as possible... but they should not forget that people also expect proper support and fixing issues that may occur :2 cents:

WPS Player and WPS Single Embedder need UPDATE!!
please do not ignore the customer,or I make fucking Disput I dont pay for shity plugins |
Hi everyone, be assured that I read all your messages / gfeedback / issues requests carefully and thank you for that !
First of all, I want you to know that all the marketing / selling stuffs / mailing / chat etc.. comes from me (Dylan) that's why i've been hired :). So don't worry, devs don't waste their time on it and are 100% dedicated to solving issues and create new features. Concerning RTT request, I will tell the team directly about. If one of you wrote a complete ticket about please let me know I will transfer it to the devs so that it will be easier for them to understand exactly where the issue comes from. Concerning WPS Checker (DVIC) we are aware that it needs a huge update and we plan to release one. I want you to know that we never forget our customers (just see how many updates we released recently, including redirection block option in WPS Mass embedder, WPS Grabber etc...) but as we are a small team we have to take problems one after one. |

Basically the widgets are slowing down page load times, massively. Quote:
I've bought something in good faith and it doesn't work. And planning to release one is'nt good enough. You need to go ahead and do it. It is one of the most important plugins. So you don't have a site with tons of deleted content. Quote:

I wish you knew how much it costs to hire someone here in France x) |

In 2019, the national minimum wage in France remained fixed at 1,521.2 € per month, that is 18,254 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year. :) https://countryeconomy.com/national-minimum-wage/france Look like Minimum wages in my states is roughly the same as in France. ( Macron Should do better :1orglaugh ) Outsource to india, russia, east europe and or china is your best bet LOL :2 cents: |

Outsource. Additionally, labour is a cost and you just factor that in to your pricing. You can't sell products that don't work (or not as described or don't work properly) and then not have the team to fix the issues. It is damaging people businesses. |
We are permanently solving issue to keep our products functioning. We can't solve every small issue at once, even more when some of our plugins are directly related to sources goodwill. We really thank you for your patience and your trust and we hope that you will still enjoy our products in the future :)

Of course. But TTFB over 12 seconds due to widgets - is NOT a small issue. Google is going to hammer you hard for that kind of slow page loading. And the deleted videos checker has BIG problem. It doesnt work. So again that's not a small issue. I just bought that a few weeks back and so im not happy about wasting my money. |

After one of the latest update shit gone poo. |
WPS Checker needs looked at. It produces so many false positives it's rendered useless.

They are spread to thin and need more employees or need to reduce the amount of products. They are causing a LOT of damage it appears with their strategy. |
LiveJasmin auto pilot doesn't work. In the initial version I could not enable auto import on the saved feeds. The update fixed this. Now I can enable auto import on the feeds however auto import DOES NOT work. Also, when doing manual update on saved feeds the info (video count, update date) does not update nor does the feed updated move to the front. Please fix.

they fix things might not be fast but hey these are cheap plugins

I set up cron job as per link, just stopped working. As for sextronix, it’s been removed from the grabber.

Cricket :2 cents:,
Can look bad in for some but i recall when wp-script gone MIA they usually comeback with a major update of their product. Hopefully this is the case:xmas-smil16 |
One of the main reasons we won't be actively using WP-Script is that you can't add your video sources, and importing is quite crippled because everything goes through their API -- so even if you COULD actually handle the traffic and everything, you simply won't be able to import that many videos due to the fact that it goes through the API.
Moreover, if their API stalls, or they suffer an extended period of downtime, your site won't stay updated... But the important fact here is that it is indeed an unlimited license, it's painlessly simple to install, and we only paid <$200 for the whole thing, so you can't really expect it to be something amazing. Basic KVS license is a better choice in this case, however. |
What Wautier said above is correct. While this might work for smaller projects if you want to do anything serious look at other alternatives. And the support it's just shit, talked with Daniel he promised things would get sorted, weeks later still haven't heard about my issues regarding the invoice. Guess the "billing department" still not back eh? What a fucking joke.
|
Quote:
our policy concerning support changed a little bit. I'm now extracting important feedback (from forums/chat that deals with major issue) to solve big issues one by one. It's the best way for us to slightly improve the products as answering every single ticket takes lot of time and prevent us from focusing on problems that affect most of customers. Still, we try to answer some tickets sometimes but it's really difficult as we receive something like 30 tickets/day. For example, i'm aware of LiveJasmin auto pilot problem and will transfer it to the dev |
