Not related to the CB script - has anyone noticed that most of the embedded chat rooms are ad blocked? Anyone found a workaround? Besides showing the AdBlock message? I am guessing most people see that then just close the page.

Using a white label solves the problem if you get your own domain name. this way it wont be blocked by ad blockers... Its the cam site domain name that does get blocked...

Using your script the Chaturbate chatrooms still get blocked even when using a whitelabel because the embed source is still from chaturbate.com even though the link goes to the whitelabel.

i brought this up early release! not sure if it is in this thread. that was a main reason i fell on the other side of the fence. i use a few ad blockers and they eat ads for breakfast

well using text may help. adding the turnoff your ad blocker makes me close the fucking page. i dont like sitting waiting for spyware to be removed. i hate desktops. when my laptop is busy i have to use it :(

Just did a test with ADP and by adding a WL with CB, the live chat wasn't blocked...

When u use a WL with CB or any cam sites with my scripts, the WL is pulled from your domain. If not, pls open a ticket and tell me which version, i will fix it its a bug.

Brassmonkey you can easily remove that warning if you want...

Going to give it another try but I'm not optimistic. CB doesn't offer their WL in https so using non https tools from the WL domain will break https on my cam site. I guess I could always revert back to http but that feels like going backwards at this point.

And the LiveJasmin tools all come from the same domain whether it is one of their sites or a WL. And those chatrooms are blocked by AdBlock as well.

The more I look into it the more I realize that AdBlock is a real nasty piece of work. It is blocking some analytics code, some js code for on-site scripts, some text links and god knows what else. I was even browsing around some regular sites with it on and noticed that it removed the comments section on a blog I visited. They are arbitrarily dismantling many, many sites with their shitty extension and removing a lot more than ads in the process. Who the fuck gave them the right to play god with the internet?

By the way, none of this is a complaint against your script. But unfortunately with shit like AdBlock out there it really puts a limit on what we can do on our sites.

this is a stupid function, no idea why it was added, the author of this script sometimes does not think logically and probably does not understand why he added it.
but you can disable it from the admin panel level.

ok. so users are morons.
even those people who use adblock are valuable users, because they lower bounce rate of the page. The one who enters will see the message immediately close the page.
But morons prefer to use an adblocker, and later cry: site has low organic users from SE, bo conversion, no seo, no traffic and no mooooooney :)

Chaturbate and LiveJasmin are still being blocked for me by ADP even though I am using whitelabel for both.

They will probably also immediately close the page when they see there is no content there because it is blocked by their ad blocker.

Currently these ad blockers represent at least a 30% reduction in traffic to sites with embedded cams because they are treating the embedded cams as ads.

Hey Nick, sorry I don't mean to sound like I'm knocking your script. It's a good script. I'm just pissed at the ad blockers.

Do I use Adblock? in my opinion, no.
I use a chrome plugin that blocks facebook, twitter and other social networking scripts.
I do not want to share anything from porn or twitter on my facebook by accident. In most cases, I see ads, but the scripts are blocked. (share like etc)
And now:
some of the scripts / plugins on the website block users like me. I see iframes on my cam sites (i do not use adblocking scripts), but i see notification via some other scripts / sites.
And now is the question: how many people do same as me?
Once again: I do not see the sense of using ad scripts. The person who wants to block it anyway - it will block anyway. And the others? will they see? what?

I agree in general but what if some people don't understand that their ad blocker is actually blocking content and not just ads? Wouldn't it be better to let them know? Or just let them leave your site because they don't see any content and they don't know why?
