I think it's a good idea to be unique with content. Try to find a niche which you will fill with specified videos. Take care about quality of your content and it should increase your traffic in time. You can make community around your website when you use blog and write posts often.

Best way to get free traffic is to update your blog with at least five solid post for SEO and link your blog to ALL of your social media sites. I wouldn't pay for traffic unless it's genuine traffic.
