btw this statement makes no sense, since the only thing advocated and objected to was stealing this movie.

how exactly does stealing this one movie colapse the entire industry as a whole.

in this case the production/marketing/actors have already been paid, the only person who is going to lose money is the production company.

Davy 12-04-2010 02:09 PM

They can't be seriously expecting to make money from this DVD.
There are thousands of webmaster who will host this shitty movie on their torrent and tube sites.

"Flexible Morality"; you get all bicthed off when anyone steals porn but think it's OK to steal from all of the people who get residuals from a movie because you are mad at the producer.

Right.

get off your high horse so man, you are so fucking gay. me downloading a movie isn't "literally" taking money out of anyone's pocket. once this movie is up on demonoid, i'm downloading it like all the other movies i watch.

Lets rip this bitch and seed this fucker to every torrent known to man. Put it up on tubes and leave it there until they DMCA it. Hell, put it EVERYWHERE and leave it until they DMCA it.

Astounding.

The only thing astounding here is the perfect consistency of your endless petty and dogmatic nitpicking.

Well... that and the fact that Gideon has shown himself to be at least half right in this thread.

EDIT: I take back that comment about Gideon being half right. He just sounded a little less stupid in one particular post early on.

and why is it ok for the production company to lose money from theft ?

Luscious Media 12-04-2010 05:29 PM

I heard that if you watch this movie your TV comes to life, cleans out your bank account and skips off to an island somewhere.

...kinda like The Ring.

Jakez 12-04-2010 05:33 PM

This is the one movie I will gladly download ILLEGALLY.

re read my post i never said it was, i just said it a ballfaced lie to claim that you are hurting the grunts working on the movie when you pirate a movie, you only hurt the production company, who are gobbling up 3/4 to 4/5 of the box office for their "profits" and "expenses".

my oppinion is 100% consistant, it doesn't change when it my content vs someone elses.

i respect fair use 100% of the time period, and i defend it 100% of the time without ever cross the line into copyright infringement.

Ain't the production company ran by Mallick ? with Epass ( well clients ) money..

Don't come with the gaffer and electricians, they were paid.

As for Paramount, this deal is one of the sweetest they did this year :

- No money into production
- A pickup with no upfront license
- Did not even put up prints & adds
- They are the ones making the money on the DVD ...

:2 cents:

Actually all those people got paid already. And most of them don't get a dime in residuals.

Because Mallick is the producer of the movie.

He gave the money for it. It's actually your money, if you had a balance in your epassporte wallet.

Make up your mind, are you talking about this single movie or not. Its actually your posts that don't make sense. Of course the "grunts" lose to piracy as I explained. You cant seem to see the larger picture. If production doesnt make money, then they don't produce as much, and when they dont produce the so called grunts lose too ...

Startzone 12-05-2010 05:44 AM

can I pay with my epass wallet for this dvd? ...............Grin

what exactly about total production being UP if you include crowdfunded project do you not understand ?

crowdfunded projects hire as many grunts as the full production projects.

they just don't put millions into the pockets of the big business distributing the content (and expensing their own distribution channels to gobble up 4/5 of the box office reciepts).

that the point, the statement this effects the grunts is a lie, it hurts the middle men who monopoly on distribution is being broken.

Twoface31 12-05-2010 12:07 PM

this is a cool movie middle men grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

DBS.US 12-05-2010 12:14 PM

Mallick does not care it you download the movie, he already has your money:2 cents:

epitome 12-05-2010 12:43 PM

Since this movie was funded by Mallick (as far as we know), and he alone bares the brunt of it being unsuccessful, this is the one time I am going to publicly support piracy.

I hope nobody pays for that DVD, but I hope everybody gets to see the movie.
